Sex Attacker Strikes In Livingston

Police in Livingston are trying to trace a man who attacked a 27-year-old in her home during the night.

The suspect broke in to the house on Orchard Place in the early hours of yesterday morning and indecently assaulted her.

The victim was woken around 3.30am, to find the suspect in her house. He indecently assaulted her, then left. The victim contacted police immediately.
 
The culprit is described as white, 20 to 30 years old, 5ft 9in to 6ft tall, medium build, short dark brown hair, wearing a light grey big-sized hooded sweatshirt, dark trousers or jeans, black trainers and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.   
 
Detective Superintendent Pat Campbell from Police Scotland said: "This was an extremely distressing assault for the woman, who was woken in the night by an intruder.

''We would like to appeal to any person within the vicinity at the time, in particular taxi drivers, residents or passers by, ho may have any information regarding this incident to contact police immediately.''
