Police Scotland will unveil its National Child Abuse Investigation Unit this morning.

The centre in Livingston will be unveiled by Chief Constable Sir Stephen House and Cabinet Secretary for Education, Angela Constance; as part of the force's commitment to keeping children safe.

It's been set up to support local divisions in the investigation of child sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation, both current and historic and online investigations.

Campaigners and charities are welcoming the move, saying all adults should be equipped to spot the warning signs.
