Police Arrest Man In Paisley Bus Attack Investigation

A man has been arrested and is being held in police custody in connection with an attack on board a bus service in Renfrewshire.

Police were called to a report of the alleged incident on another man on board a bus in Neilston Road, Paisley, on Saturday at 11.15pm.

Emergency services attended and a 39-year-old-man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment. Medical staff described his condition as serious.

Inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Paisley CID via 101.

Police Scotland said a 41-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the incident.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
