The Foreign Office says it has "no record" of a Scottish man reported to be in hospital following the Paris terror attacks

Ian Blackford, the SNP MP for Ross, Skye and Lochaber, had asked Home Secretary Theresa May during a statement in the House of Commons yesterday what support could be offered to family members after he received a report that one of his constituents Hamish ''Callum'' MacDonald had been injured.

Mrs May had responded by advising that consular support was available to families.

A Twitter account from a woman who said she was the man's relative contained posts saying he was aged 24 and from Fort William in the Highlands.

Updates on his condition were posted, explaining he was in hospital in an induced coma but the account has since been deleted.

The Foreign Office said it has is has no record of a British national by the name of Hamish Callum MacDonald being injured in Paris.
