Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Sports Car

A motorcyclist has died after his bike was involved in a collision with a car in East Lothian.

The incident happened on the A198 near Aberlady at the entrance to Craigielaw Golf Club at about 4.20pm on Tuesday.

Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, Police Scotland said.

Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Neil Inglis said: "Tragically this collision has resulted in the rider of the motorcycle sustaining injuries, which he succumbed to.

"We are keen to hear from any motorists or members of the public who witnessed the incident or who have information relevant to this inquiry.''

Police said the collision involved a Honda motorcycle and a Lotus car.
