Man dies in Grangemouth house fire

A man has died after a house fire in the early hours of the morning on Avon Street in Grangemouth. Two women were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Firefighters were called to the property in Avon Street, Grangemouth, on Friday at around 2.40am.

They put out the blaze but found that a man had died, the fire service said.

Two women were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Police and the fire service are carrying out a joint investigation to establish the cause of the blaze.
