Man arrested over death in East Kilbride

An arrest has been made over the death of a 41-year-old man in East Kilbride.

Police were called to a flat in Campbell Place at around 5am on Sunday morning where the body of Spencer Borland, 41, was discovered.

Officers taped off the area as forensic teams investigated.

A 27-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the death.

A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal and the man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
