Missing Honor in Glasgow

Police are "gravely concerned" for the safety of an anorexic woman who has gone missing from a private hospital.

Honor Garbutt, 20, was last seen at around 8.30pm on Tuesday evening near Millbrae Road, Langside, Glasgow, possibly heading in the direction of the Battlefield Rest/Queens Park area.

She is a patient at a private hospital, thought to be The Priory, in Mansionhouse Road, Glasgow

She is described as being about 5ft 1in and of very slim build, with blonde hair which she had tied up.

When last seen, she was wearing a light blue coat with a fur hood, black tights and black shoes.

Police are appealing for information about the missing woman, who is from England and does not know the area.

Inspector Jennifer Aird, of Cathcart police station, said: "We are gravely concerned for Honor's welfare. She is anorexic and is dealing with some personal issues at the moment.

"This, coupled with her illness, plus the fact she has not been in contact with friends or family, is giving us grave concern for her well-being.

"She is from England and is just here for treatment so she does not know the area at all.

"Officers are currently searching the area for her but we would also appeal for the assistance of the public to also look out for her.

"If you see her, know where she is or have any information that will assist officers with the inquiry, then please contact Cathcart police station via 101. Please quote incident number 4060/26/09/2017 when calling."
