Glasgow Hosts World's Top Cyclists

Some of the biggest names in cycling are competing in Glasgow on Sunday

The city's hosting the British Cycling National Road Race championships 

Former World Champion Mark Cavendish will race, as well as Olympic medallist Lizzie Armitstead 

Its the first time they've used an entirely city based course 

The road race course will feature elements of the proposed route for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. 

The course will run through the city centre from Glasgow Green taking in the world-renowned shopping hub of Buchanan Street, before carrying on to the west end of the city where it will pass through Kelvingrove Park. The course will then circuit the west end before heading back towards the city centre and the finish at Glasgow Green.
