The Glasgow European Open returns to the Emirates Arena on Saturday 4th October 2014. This year its the turn of our female judoka including Glasgow Commonwealth Games gold medalists Kimberley Renicks, Nekoda Davis, Megan Fletcher, Natalie Powell, and Sarah Adlington. Also competing will be London 2012 Olympians including, silver medalist Gemma Gibbons, Sally Conway, Kelly Edwards and Gemma Howell competing to get the gold. This year’s event follows on from the success of the Commonwealth Games; where judo had sell-out crowds and GB home nations took a massive share of medals!
The Glasgow European Open will boast an action packed day of competition beginning at 10am with all seven weight categories being completed in the evening session which starts at 5pm. There will be opportunities to train or give judo a try for the first time with sessions hosted by Commonwealth medalists. There will also be opportunities to meet your hero’s during signing sessions throughout the day. A great day out for the full family. Tickets start from £5.
