Jessie J's empowerment anthem for all those who've ever been bullied was a big chart hit back in summer 2011. The track sees her looking back on everyone who had doubted her growing up and telling them simply 'Who's laughing now?'.

Professor Green's Vodafone Big Top 40 number one single 'Read All About It' is a highly emotional song that sees the UK rapper opening up about his childhood and upbringing. Pro Green openly speaks about his late father and the things he has learned from his younger days and his parents. The song's chorus, sung by Emeli Sande, goads the media into writing what they want about the 'Remedy' rapper's personal life.
Taylor Swift's huge 2012 single 'We Are Never Getting Back Together' is pretty clear in its message to one of the country pop singer's ex-boyfriends. The song follows a former couple constantly breaking up and getting back together, until one of them finally says it's over for good. Taylor has yet to confirm which of her former relationships the song is about, although media speculation has suggested it could be about 'Your Body Is A Wonderland' singer John Mayer.

The emotional track tells the US rapper's daughter she is his "greatest creation" and was posted online just two days after Blue Ivy's birth.

Justin's embittered pop hit 'Cry Me A River' was originally released back on 2002 and speculation was soon rife that it was about his failed relationship with pop singer Britney Spears. The 'Sexyback' star refused to comment on the rumours until 2011 when he confirmed the song was indeed recorded shortly after an argument between himself and Britney.
Pink's tongue in cheek hit 'So What' offered a light hearted approach to a very real situation, as the singer was separated from husband Corey Hart at the time. Adele's ultimate break-up song 'Rolling In The Deep' has gone on to be a massive hit around the world, and sees the singer finally telling her boyfriend that their relationship is over.
