WOW! What a year it's been already. There's been arrests, Twitter spats and upsetting music videos. Join Capital as we look at some of the most talked about moments from 2014 so far.
It all seemed like a friendly kiss during Miley's tour but then Katy was asked about it on a morning show. She accused Miley of getting a little too friendly and said "god knows where that tongue's been". Miley let rip on Twitter and even took a dig at Katy's break-up with John Mayer. It all seemed to be in jest though after Katy said she would be giving a "spanking" to Miley when they caught up in the UK next.
This mugshot of the teen star was on every Twitter timeline around the world when it got out as news hit that Justin had been arrested for an apparent DUI. Fans rallied behind the teen but many were upset at his actions. It's certainly not been a smooth start to the year for Justin.
The exact moment in question was a scene where a man wearing an Allah pendant gets disintegrated. After so many complaints, the scene was removed from the video.
The singer was forced to clarify comments after she called any previous bisexuality a "phase". It upset some fans but she admitted that she'd never lied about her sexuality in her career but was just "young and experimental". FYI - she's now on the look for a husband, so line up fellas!
The start of Queen Bey's track features a short clip of the Challenger shuttle disaster – an accident that took the lives of seven crew members back in January 1986. Beyonce had stated the snippet was a tribute but it still angered many who questioned the taste of the inclusion of the clip.
There was many an Ellie/Ed dating rumour floating around last year - something which both denied - but things went into a differernt gear when Ed revealed he'd written a song called 'Don't' which was a true story based on dating someone in the industry. He performed it for the first time on SNL and once again all talk turned to Ellie. Could it be? And if so, why?

After initially promising there would be no twerking on her tour and it would be "kid friendly" Miley soon showed that she wouldn't be holding back, including with her costumes. Pharrell was one of the stars quick to leap to her defence and said that people had no idea who she really is and shouldn't focus on stage costumes because there is so much more to this star.
The rockers were special guests of Bruno as he hit the stage for his biggest show ever. However, a few keen eyed fans noticed the lack of wires from the band's instruments. They were forced to issue an apology and explain the reason behind the miming. Still, it was one hell of a show wasn't it?

Rugby fan Niall was not happy with the actions of Welsh star Mike Phillips as Ireland and Wales locked horns in the Six Nations. After voicing his disgust on Twitter to Mike, he was greeted with an equally hostile response.
It's fair to say that the Hollywood actor is not JB's biggest fan. He went on a foul-mouthed rant about the teen after all the DUI arrest and got a backlash of abuse by Justin's fans. Speaking to Andy Cohen, Seth refused to back down and reiterated his comments saying Justin continues to put other people's lives in danger.
James has found himself in hot water on numerous occasions during his short career and managed to ruffle some feathers with X Factor boss Simon this year. Despite all that's been said, Simon has admitted he wants to sit down with James and sort it all out so he can focus on what's the most important factor - the music!
