As the world watches what Glasgow has to offer we take a look at the KEY things you need to know about the Commonwealth Games 2014.
Glasgow’s famous Hampden Park will be a key venue during the games playing host to the Track and Field Athletics competitions and the Closing Ceremony.

The Diving competitions begin on Wednesday 28th July so get ready to see which UK stars can make a splash with the judges and bring a medal home.
The Commonwealth Games Diving medal tally has been dominated by Australia, Canada and England. However, in Melbourne 2006 and Delhi 2010, Malaysia emerged with medals of each colour. Could we see another nation challenge the big three in Glasgow?

Historically, Australia and Canada have dominated in both disciplines of this sport. Look out for rising stars from Malaysia and England, who were among the medal winners at Melbourne 2006, and emerging athletes from nations throughout the Commonwealth including Scotland.

Athletes will compete against each other against a stunning backdrop that includes the Merchant City, George Square, Buchanan Street and the Clyde Arc as well as two further ‘Dear Green Places’: Bellahouston Park and Pollok Park.
The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will be bigger than ever with more medals and additional events for female and Para-Sport athletes.
