What’s your favourite London place?
The place where I've had the most joy recently was the bouncy castle at Battersea Park. Every week it serves up laughter. A couple of weekends ago I was watching my daughter, who's three and a half, jumping up and down to this cheap fairground music. She just looked so full of joy I found my self standing there fighting back the tears. That's my favourite structure at the moment.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A man is only as big as what will make him mad and a man is only as big as what he's seeking. It's a good bit of advice if you're losing your rag over something petty.
How would your best friend describe you in three words?
Loud, loyal and another word beginning with L... lecherous.
What’s your favourite movie and why?
I can't really say. It depends on what I've just seen. I suppose over the years 'The Searchers', John Ford's classic with John Wayne.
Who do you call when you get good news?
The Wife.
What was the last CD you bought?
I get sent them now, so I'm not really buying a lot and Mrs. Vaughan buys a lot of CDs too so I don't really need to. I suppose the last CD I bought was Manu Chao 'Clandestino', 'cause I lost my copy.
Which bit of your body do you like the least?
I don't really have a part but my right knee gives me lots of gip.
