Capital 95.8 - UPS Local Business Award 2008 Winner
A Cause To Dance For
A Salsa and Samba dance company that runs twice a month in North London. On one of the nights 70% of the profit from the class is donated to a local charity.
The owner, former nurse Corina Codrea, set up the company as it married two of her passions - dance and fitness and also served to help her local community. Well done Corina.

Judge Theo
Judging the best business was none other than BBC Dragon’s Den star, Theo Paphitis.   As a successful businessman, transforming companies like Ryman the Stationer, Contessa and La Senza into undisputed successes, Theo’s unrivalled instinct for sniffing out profitable businesses made him the perfect choice.

  3. This gives the small business a great opportunity to market themselves in the big players arena. Accelerating their strategy which may have taken much longer to achieve. The fear factor investing in advertising such as thing limits many companies growth ......
So thanks Capital and Theo for this opportunity......

  4. It gives small businesses to enter and gain a little foothold in the big players arena. It will allow the smaller business the opportunity to perhaps accelerate their marketing to a level which may have taken them much longer or cost them dearly.
Many have the fear factor about taking such a financial step to invest in such marketing.

Good luck to all and thanks to Capital and Theo !

  8. The lococal business awards will help the winner gain some all important advertising at a time when every bit of business is needed, i for one have had to cut down on advertising as on of my cost cuts, something i'm loathed to do but somethings got to give, so the prise would be of huge help for the winner.
