Today has been a very enjoyable day, I have learnt a lot about the world of radio and everything that is involved in it. It has been such a privilege for me to be able to experience what it is like working at ‘London’s No.1 hit music station’ and I have enjoyed every part of it.

I have learnt a lot about the production that goes into making the show, scripts need to be wrote and everything has to be prepared. There are a lot of technical sound effects that make everything sound better too. I sat in with Lucio while his show was on air and shadowed Matt in the studio. I also really enjoyed watching Claire edit the news and then broadcast it.  I spent some time with Sam while she wrote the script to feed back to Lucio about the Christmas lights and she showed me the news system to find out about the latest entertainment news.

All the staff here are very welcoming and helpful; they have made my day here very enjoyable and given me an insight of what their job involves. I’d like to say thank you to Capital and Lucio for giving me this opportunity and to Matt for everything!  It has made me very interested in radio and I would love to continue learning more about it and have a career in radio!
