Northumbrian Water want to supply the best quality drinking water to local residents here in the North East. Water that’s clean, clear and tastes good, every hour of every day.

That’s why they’re investing £66 million to improve your water network in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, Gateshead and North Tyneside. They’re cleaning and upgrading over 400 kilometres of large diameter water pipes to make sure that they protect tap water quality for the future.

Their Main Event improvement programme is in full swing and you may have noticed them working in Newcastle city centre. Between January and March 2015, they’ll be working in some of the busier areas of the city, including Collingwood Street, Mosley Street and parts of Scotswood Road, so do expect some delays if you are out and about in the city.
