Two Charged Over North Tyneside Murder

Two men have been charged with the murder of a North Tyneside teenager, who was assaulted on Christmas Eve and died in hospital.

19 year old Rikki Todd from Camperdown was assaulted in the early hours of Christmas Eve 2011 outside the Halfway House pub in Station Road, Camperdown.

He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary where he died on Tuesday, December 27th.

Two 17-year-old young men have been charged with murder and are due to appear before North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday April 17th.

Three other young men, aged 15, 18 and 19 who were arrested in connection with the death have been told they will face no further police action.
