Sunderland AFC have revealed their new away kit for 2012/13 made by Adidas - they've also announced the sponsor will be charity 'Invest In Africa'

The Black Cats join the likes of AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in being sponsored by Adidas after their previous deal with Umbro came to an end.

Sunderland's away kit and training kit go on sale on July 5th, while the home kit will be unveiled on July 18th.

Wearsiders chief executive Margaret Byrne said:
"We are delighted to welcome adidas as an official partner of Sunderland AFC.

Our aim is to increase Sunderland's international profile and, as one of the world leaders in their field, we are very much looking forward to working with the dynamic team at adidas.

New home and away kits will be unveiled in the coming weeks and launched later in the summer and I'm confident that our supporters will be as impressed as we are with everything that adidas has to offer."

Meanwhile, speaking about the shirt sponsorship deal with 'Invest In Africa' owner and chairman Ellis Short said:
"We are very proud to have augmented our relationship with Invest in Africa through this wonderful agreement.

It is a partnership which sets a new benchmark for the club commercially, but what stands out is while doing so, it truly gives something back to both our own region and to a continent which has become a firm part of our club's success story over recent seasons.''

The club's even given the Murray Gates at the Stadium of Light a bit of a makeover:
