One Direction Fan Hit By A Truck

A 16 year old One Direction fan's been hit by a truck as she waited to meet the band outside the Newcastle Arena.
The girl was taken to Newcastle's RVI after being hit by the truck at the arena where the band were performing last night (Monday 9th April)
Witnesses called an ambulance and the girl was taken to hospital with minor injuries - she's since been released.
The vehicle involved wasn't connected to the One Direction show.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said:
"Police were informed at 3.30pm this afternoon that a 16-year-old girl had suffered minor injuries after being hit by a lorry in Dunn Street near the Metro Arena.
She was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since been released.
Officers are carrying out enquiries in order to establish what happened."
