After the announcement that JLS are to split up, fans in the North East will be among the last to see them perform live at North East Live.

The band, who have sold more than 10million records since being discovered on X Factor in 2008, announced their split earlier today - but the foursome have confirmed they will perform at Sunderland's North East Live in the summer.

North East Live, at the Stadium of Light on June 22nd, will be the band's last major outdoor gig in the region before they officially part ways later this year.

The gig, which is being headlined by JLS, will also feature live performances by The Wanted, Rita Ora, Lawson, Little Mix, Amelia Lily, James Arthur, Stooshe, Conor Maynard, Union J and The Vamps.

Gary Hutchinson, Commercial Director at Sunderland AFC, said:
"Whilst I'm sure today's announcement is a sad one for JLS's army of fans, we are delighted to be able to give them the opportunity to see the band for one last time at North East Live."

Tickets for North East Live, priced from £25 each, are available online at www.aeglive.co.uk or by calling 0871 230 1097 or 0844 477 5775.
