County Durham Man Charged With Parents Murders

A County Durham man's been charged with murder and attempted murder after the bodies of his parents were found at their home in Sale.

S45 year old Stephen Seddon, also known as Nic Seddon, is due to appear before Manchester magistrates today (Friday 13th July)

He was arrested at his home on Benevente Street in Seaham last Saturday - just 24 hours after his parents were found dead at their home in Sale.

The bodies of 68 year old Bob Seddon and his wife Patricia were found by police on Friday evening.

A post mortem has shown both died from gunshot wounds.

Stephen Seddon was also charged with atttempting to murder Mr and Mrs Seddon after the couple were rescued from a canal in March when a car they were in went in the water.
