Alan Pardew Named Premier League Manager Of The Month

Alan Pardew has been named Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for November.

Newcastle United won three of their four top flight fixtures last month, seeing off Liverpool, West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers - keeping clean sheets in each of those games as they climbed into the upper reaches of the Premier League.

The only goal the Magpies conceded in November came in a narrow 1-0 defeat at West Ham in the final match of the month.

And United manager Pardew has been rewarded for that outstanding form with the third Manager of the Month award of his career, and his first on Tyneside. He last picked up the award 12 months ago - in November 2013.

Pardew said:
"It is a huge honour to be named Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month.

Our recent form has been a real team effort both on and off the pitch. The players have been fantastic during this time and huge credit must also go to my staff, who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

It is nice to be recognised for our results but we will not get carried away by this and will do everything we can to make sure December is just as good a month for us."
