There's Potential Evidence To Suggest That Daenerys Could Have Jon Snow's Baby & We're Not Sure How To Feel

Jon Dany baby theory

SPOILERS...obviously.

Game Of Thrones season 7 has finally wrapped up and it was one hell of a journey right?! White Walkers aplenty, dragons, DEATH and of course two of our favourite characters Marvin Gaye'd and got it on.

If you haven't seen season 7 of GoT yet then you might want to stop reading right now...hey we did say spoilers earlier okay?!

Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen FINALLY met and by the last episode they reminded us all why the show is also known as 'A Song Of Ice And Fire', if you catch our drift.

And with the rumours well and truly flying, we wouldn't put it past the show creators to throw in a lil Thrones baby! Which, we're not sure how we feel about. Granted, the kid would be gorgeous but AWKWARD... because there's a chance that they're brother and sister.

A fan couldn't help but ask Kit Harrington at a recent Grand Prix and his reaction told us everything:

Now, let's round up all the ACTUAL evidence, shall we?

Tyrion’s Chat

Remember back in episode 6 when Tyrion annoyed Dany somewhat with his chat about the line of succession? She got all upset about his insistence that she was too important to appear on the battlefield herself (which is OBVIOUSLY TRUE), especially before she’d answered the question about the heir.

Odd, yes. But also specific.

How about if the show was introducing a potential storyline, whereby Dany isn’t the heir to throne, but her baby is, and the show was planting an idea in our minds and putting the initial idea out there via Tyrion?

Longclaw

In the same episode (episode 6), Ser Jorah insisted that Jon should keep his ancestral sword Longclaw, even though it was technically his.

The specific quote: “I’ve forfeited the right to this sword. May it serve you well. And your children after you”.

Hmmm… Quite specific about HIM HAVING CHILDREN.

The Boat Conversation

Dany told Jon on the journey back to Dragonstone that the “dragons are my children. They are the only children I will ever have. Do you understand?”.

Now, Game of Thrones has a habit of proving people wrong and dispelling all these kind of thoughts. Since Dany made it so blatantly obvious with this ironic bit of foreshadowing, perhaps it should be translated as “they are the only children I think I will ever have”.

Cersei Is Pregnant

Game of Thrones loves a bit of storyline symmetry.

  • Ice and Fire.
  • North and South.
  • East and West.
  • Bran is pushed from a window. Tommen jumps from a window. Lady Lysa is pushed through the moon door.
  • Catelyn’s throat is cut. Walder Frey’s throat is cut.

See where we’re going with this?

And how satisfying would it be for two pregnant Queens to be the last contenders for the kingdom?

Ahem...did anybody else see the ghost of Catelyn Stark last season? Some of us did!
