Lisa knocked out of the Strictly final

We were hoping she'd go all the way to the final... and she didn't let us down. We hoped she'd do some fantastic dances for us, and we weren't wrong. The judges loved Lisa, giving her maximum points for both her dances - 80 out of 80 - fantastic!

But it looks like she just didn't get enough votes from the public to put her into the final two couples dancing to become Strictly champion 2008. We can only put this down to the fact that whilst Lisa rules the airwaves in London, the rest of the country hasn't had the Snowdon snowball effect... yet!

Tom Chambers saw Rachel Stevens off to be Strictly champion for 2008, following a controversial show last week when all three couples were put through to the final.

We know Lisa will be disappointed, but she went out there to win, she improved each week, she enjoyed dancing with Brendan, and got maximum points in the final. (Plus she had to get up at an obscene hour every day to do the Capital Breakfast show with Johnny!) Could we have asked any more of her? We think not!!! Well done Lisa - we know everyone at Capital is proud of what you did, plus we know there are thousands of Lisa fans out there who voted for you.

Just reviewed the last 4 SCD recordings - You and Brendan were absolutely amazing, and proved the point - you did not need to win, you were certainly the best not just on the night - final max 80 points, semi 35 and 40, quaterfinal 33 and 39, (12), 39 and 37. The carisma between you and Brendan was breathtaking.

  2. Lisa I never write fan letters to "celebs" but your performance on Strictly was fantastic - you had the best attitude and you became the best dancer. Your cha cha cha was joyous. Best wishes for everything you do with your life

  5. Lisa you did brilliantly and lots of doors will open for you now and rightly so. I voted each week for the person I enjoyed watching the most so that they would stay in and I could keep watching them every week... Tom. The TV and celebrity element changes it from a 'pure' dancing competition and I think it's time we accepted that a lot of people may have done as I did. Time to move on! : -)

  6. Lisa and Brendan, just to say well done on everything you achieved on "Strictly". You were magnificent, the best improved dancer and such a lovely personality and demeanour. For me you will always be the winners, and I suspect for a lot of other people too. Good luck in the future and "keep dancing"

  7. Rachel and Lisa should have made the final two. Whilst Tom's display dance was brilliant going of all the dancing in the final show Tom should have gone out not Lisa. I feel that Lisa should then have lost to Rachel who was absolutely superb in my opinion. However, both girls were amazing! Boy how I wish I could do that!

  9. Tom should not have been in the final in the first place. Lisa deserved to be in the final two, and Strictly has been very disappointing this year - people NEED to remember it is a DANCE contest - you vote for the BEST dancer not your FAVOURITE dancer! Lisa was the best in the final, the voting process needs reviewing or the programme will become a joke.

  10. now I know I cant have been the only one who noticed that in a number of places on her latin on the final night that Lisa and Brendon seemed to be in 2 very different places and maybe doing two different dances at varying points. And again their show dance was trying to be something they should never have been, You get full points and respect for trying though.
