Mondays are usually pretty rubbish, but an intimate Capitalive crowd discovered that a dose of Estelle definitely helps to relieve those weekend hangover blues.

This proved especially true for one bloke in attendance who immediately perked up when the lady herself beckoned him to dance with her on the slinky track Come Over. This became the cue for the crowd to get involved themselves and they duly followed with cascading hands swaying on the autobiographical hit 1980.

Of course the crowd duly appreciated her hit singles. A strong opening one-two combo of the bombastic Wait A Minute was immediately followed by a rousing rendition of new single No Subsitute Love.

After enthralling and amusing the audience with anecdotes between tracks, Estelle concluded her set with an exciting Kanye-free version of 'American Boy', which owed much to her fantastic backing band who were simply flawless all night long.
