It was the hottest ticket in town - we literally received thousands of online ticket applications for our Capitalive gig with Duffy, but there was only space for 250 people. And those lucky lucky ticket winners, were treated to an intimate gig of the highest calibre.

There was a huge amount of hype surrounding this gig, as Duffy has experienced a meteoric rise to super stardom over the last eight months. Since the start of the year, she has had the biggest selling album of the year so far, has already broken the U.S. with Mercy and is now collaborating with some of the biggest names in music - not bad for Shakin' Stevens daughter!

Okay, so she is not really Shaky's daughter - that was a rumour created by a certain Mr. Johnny Vaughan. But at her Capitalive gig in Notting Hill, in addition to delighting the audience with her stunning voice,  she brought out some dance moves that would make old Shaky proud! More on this story here>>

Her charisma and charm shone through from the beginning and her vocals really delivered on the night. There were numerous highlights including outstanding performances of breakthrough track Rockferry and new single Stepping Stone.

But it was Warwick Avenue and Mercy that elicited the most raucous cheers that evening - the clever opening arrangement of Mercy was particularly impressive. This is the sound of an artist pushing for global star dom. Next up on the Capitalive line-up - Shakin' Stevens!

Okay, so that's not true either! We'll let you know very soon about who will we be playing our final gig of the summer.

  4. I was lucky enough to go to the gig and I thought she was just wonderful. I'd already seen her this year, at Somerset House, but this venue was so intimate - it was awesome. Can't wait to see her again on tour later this year. Mercy is the best song of the year!
