The Feeling
At the beautiful St. John's church in Westminster, The Feeling delivered a set which left our Capitalive listeners in awe.
There was an air of expectancy before the gig, as our crowd bustled beneath the main stage of St. John’s, in the crypt bar talking about their favourite Feeling songs over a pint and a glass of wine. One fan who was holding a large glass of rosé told us with a quip that her favourite song by the band was Rosé – a ‘joke' that left her embarrassed friends holding their heads in their hands!
Thankfully the music was better than the banter, and yes the band did perform a fantastic rendition of the aforementioned Rosé but it was preceded by a memorable trio of anthems that truly epitomise the feel-good pop that The Feeling are known for – Thought It Was Over , Fill My Little World and Never Be Lonely .
In the middle of the set, the band showcased material from their recent album Join With Us . Current single Turn It Up was the pick of the bunch and had the crowd punching the air throughout.
By the time the plinky-plonky brilliance of final track Love It When You Call filled the grand concert hall of St Johns, it was immediately joined by a raucous cheer from the audience, who lapped up every second.
