Classic BRITs moments 1996 - Michael Jackson vs Jarvis Cocker
About this photo (3 of 10)
Jacko's performance of 'Earth Song' at the BRITs 1996 was famously overshadowed by Pulp singer, Jarvis Cocker's protest. Having a Northern lanky bloke wiggle his bum at Jacko could have brought an end to proceedings, but ever the professional, Jacko carried on. Jarvis spent the rest of the night in Police custody, but former solicitor Bob Mortimer helped to get him released.

Surely, this Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker just wanted to ride on Michael Jackson's worldwide popularity...shame on him...no one will ever be like MJ...The King of Pop..forever....

As a big fan of M.J. I can only say that Jarvis is just a big LOOSER (putting it politely!) because he judt didn't understand what Michael was trying to get through when he sang this song. It's a shame because Jarvis made some good records too but M.J. will all ways be my number one and THE KING OF POP!
