They faced backlash from fans and the families alike.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner came under fire for their t-shirts featuring rap and rock legends including Biggie Small, Pink Floyd and Metallica...
… however, they had also superimposed their face on top of unapproved photos and then tried to sell them as ‘vintage’ for $125.
And it seems that the families of those artists are even less impressed than the fans.
The estate of Christopher Wallace - aka Biggie Smalls - has issued a response to the social media starlets, following them issuing a cease and desist notice.
The statement read, “While we appreciate that the Jenner’s have made an apology and pulled the unlawful and unauthorised items, this matter has yet to be resolved”.
And Sharon Osbourne has also tweeted about it all.
Girls, you haven’t earned the right to put your face with musical icons. Stick to what you know…lip gloss. pic.twitter.com/BhmuUVrDBn— Sharon Osbourne (@MrsSOsbourne) 29 June 2017
Your move, Jenner’s.
The sisters issued an apology not long after the designs went live, telling their fans, “These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologise to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists”.
They continued that “we are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in any way”.
We’re intrigued to see how this one will play out.
Remember when Kendall Jenner fell off her bike? FYI, it's hilarious.
