Kelly Rowland to replace Dannii as X Factor judge

Simon Cowell has confirmed that the former Destiny's Child star will join this year's X Factor panel.

Singer Kelly Rowland has been confirmed as Dannii Minogue's replacement as a judge on the UK X Factor show.

Within days the former Destiny's Child singer is due to sign a deal which will see her sit alongside Take That frontman Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, who replaces Cheryl Cole.

Dannii left the show due to date clashes with her appearances on Australia's Got Talent, and Simon was keen for Kelly to replace her, it has been reported.

Kelly is said to be "thrilled" having been a fan of the show and its creator Simon Cowell - with whom she claims to "agree with everything he says" - for years.

Kelly Rowland was recently pictured with formed Destiny's Child band mate Beyonce at the Billboard Awards 2011.
