Wingman and Sally from Drive visit The Christie

This weekend is our Help a Capital Child appeal and to get things underway Wingman and Sally Hudson from Drive went down to the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at The Christie in Manchester to meet some incredible young people.

At The Christie the team met with a young man called Abe. Abe had his leg amputated two weeks ago as the result of being diagnosed with a primary bone tumor earlier this summer. He's got a long journey ahead of him but his attitude and outlook on the future is inspirational.

Thanks to your amazing donations each year Help a Capital Child have been able to donate money to the Teenage Cancer Trust which helps people like Abe on their recovery and to make their stay at The Christie as comfortable as possible.

We have got some amazing prizes for you to bid on this weekend, from seeing Justin Bieber in the Capital box at the Manchester Arena, to a tour of the soap sets of the North West and even the chance to see and meet One Direction in New York. For full details of what's up for grabs and how you can get bidding CLICK HERE.

If you fancy raising some money for Help a Capital Child and getting fit in the process we still have places for the Greater Manchester Marathon available. Find out more HERE.

Stay tuned to 102 Capital FM all weekend for all things Help a Capital Child and to find out how you can get involved.
