Man in hospital after attack in Piccadilly

A 23 year old man is in hospital after being beaten by a gang in Piccadilly.

He was on his way to the train station with his girlfriend in the early hours of Sunday morning, when he asked three men why they were kicking bins around. 

He was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the head outside the Abode Hotel, then his attackers ran off towards Dale Street or Tarrif Street.

Police want anyone who saw the attack or knows who did it to call Grey Mare Lane CID on 0161 856 3554 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.  .

The men are all in their early 20s.

One was wearing skinny jeans and a red-checked shirt with a dark t-shirt underneath. He has tattoos around his neck, brown hair and piercings.

Another was wearing a blue denim shirt, a white t-shirt and dark skinny jeans.

The third was also wearing skinny jeans.
