Man Critical After Hit And Run In Bury

Investigations are underway after a man was knocked down in Bury.

He's currently in a critical condition in hospital following the accident yesterday evening.

The 24 year old was on Dumers Lane near to the junction with Morris Street at about 8:50pm when a black Seat Altea collided with him.

The car failed to stop at the scene and was later found abandoned on Hampson Hill Road, Bury.

Three people were later arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision and remain in custody for questioning.

Officers from Leigh Road Policing Unit and Bury CID are investigating and are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
