Police have recovered £400,000 worth of drugs at a flat in Walkden.
At about 8.30pm on Monday 27 June, police executed a warrant at the flat on Holyoake Road and recovered cannabis bush (skunk).
The combined weight of the drugs, which were in boxes and bags, is about 40kg.
The house was secured and during a further search of the property today, Tuesday 28 June, a further 40kg of cannabis resin was found hidden in the kitchen.
The estimated street value of all the drugs recovered is £400,000.
A 58-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Simon Akker, of Salford CID, said: "This is quite a remarkable recovery of cannabis that was clearly destined for the streets.
"To recover such a large amount is a great result for the police but more importantly the people of Salford."
