Dad Of Two Dies In Oldham Crash

A dad of two's died following an accident in Oldham.

Police were called to Turf Pit Lane at about 6.20pm on Thursday 16 June 2011.

Officers attended and discovered a Yamaha scooter had collided with a car - a Toyota Colorado - that was reversing off a driveway.

Michael David Lofthouse, 27, from the Moorside area was riding the scooter. He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

He leaves behind a partner, two children, a two-year-old daughter and another daughter, aged one-month, and three brothers.

His partner Kathryn, said:

'Michael was a lovely, bubbly lad who loved his family and kids.

“He was a devoted father and the most kind-hearted person I have ever met. He was the love of my life.'
