Police were called to the building in Partington Street, Oldham, shortly after 6.45am yesterday where the body of 38-year-old Matthew Alexander Barrett was found.
A Home Office post-mortem examination concluded Mr Barrett died from multiple injuries.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: ``Officers from GMP's Major Incident Team are now investigating and they have arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody for questioning.''
