Oldham Car Crash Tragedy Family Named

Three members of the same family who were killed when a car overturned at a roundabout have been named by police.

Police were called to Broadgate in Chadderton, near Oldham, Greater Manchester, just after 4.20pm on Saturday following reports that a black Cadillac people carrier had overturned near Chadderton police station.

The people who died in the crash have now been named as seven-year-old Khin Thiri Myat Htin, her grandfather, Than Tutt, 86, and her aunt, Naw Naw Khin, 52.

All three died at the scene of the crash, police said.

The 51-year-old driver and father to Khin, along with a 51-year-old woman were also taken to hospital but have since been able to go home.

A 76-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains there.

The family is from the Tameside area of Greater Manchester.

The car overturned near the roundabout at the end of the slip road from the M60, police said.

Officers are interested in speaking to anyone with information about the collision and, in particular, anyone who was travelling along the clockwise carriageway of the M60 at or around the time and saw a black Cadillac people carrier.

Anyone with information is asked to call traffic officers on 0161 856 8802.
