Finchley Fantastic

If you're bored of your usual shopping haunts then get down to Finchley. With lots to offer to suit a range of budgets, check out our guide and watch Finchley fast become a shopping favourite.

Finchley has a little bit of everything.

We love the fact that despite it still retaining shops like 1884 established Pharmacy Andrews you're still never far from the usual Superdrug style suspects and an amazing array of independent stores and supermarkets.

Once famed for it's Hog Market, it's no surprise that Finchley's markets are hard to beat and are real treasure troves of bargains. Why not head to Finchley General Market in Lodge Lane which operates on a Friday with over 100 stalls selling various goods.

If you need a break from shopping why not check out the Artsdepot's gallery and have a drink in it's cafe where there are also 2 theatres or alternatively catch a flick at East Finchley's Phoenix Cinema, one of the oldest in the UK.

So why not make like Emma Bunton and Spike Milligan who both lived in the town for many years and follow in their footsteps to a Finchley fascination.

  1. North Finchley has some great Boutiques with one off items.. One of my favourites is a shop on the corner near 'Tiger' called Dimitri.

  2. it's not all it's cracked up to be and since the market was moved from where the arts depot now is, it has gone down hill. we have now lost woolworths and all there is mainly are hairdressers and offee shops.
