Rumours are circling all over that Rihanna and Drake are set to end their alleged relationship due to their busy schedules. Take a look at the pair's complicated history as we try and work out what's going on...
In an interview with The Daily Beast Drake revealed, “I came straight from Toronto, just a kid that was trying to get out of my mom’s house, and the first person I meet is a girl that’s the biggest person you could possibly meet at my age. So I meet her and it was just mind-blowing. I couldn’t believe she’d even want to talk to me. I read some interview where they painted me as so sad and heartbroken, but we’re cool. I was never torn apart by that situation.”
Talking to Hot 97 Rihanna said, “We weren’t really sure what it was. I definitely was attracted to Drake, but I think it is what it is, like it was what it was.”
Drake looked back at his relationship with Rihanna in his Alicia Keys collaboration 'Fireworks'. Talking about the track to the New York Times, Drake described himself a "a pawn." “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear,” he revealed. “I was like, wow, this feels terrible.”
Drake told Elle magazine, "I've probably been hurt more than I've hurt someone else, and one lady who did plenty of damage? Rihanna." "At the time it hurt, but she didn't mean to," Drake added. "I'll never put that on her. I was hurt because I started to slowly realize what it was. I guess I thought it was more."
The pair's personal lives and pop music careers continue to intertwine as the years go by, whether it's collaborating on new songs, partying at clubs or even planting a kiss on each other after a chance meeting at the basketball!
Reports suggested that the 'Turn Up The Music' singer put a ban on Rihanna and Drake talking. Hollywood Life published comments around Rihanna and this situation explaining, "She really missed him in that time – yes, they went out years before but he was also a good friend to her – so calling him was one of the first things she did when she realized she was over Chris."
From teaming up on 'What's My Name?' to their INCREDIBLE and emotional 'Take Care' duet, it's clear this pair have a LOT of chemistry when they get behind the mic together.
While it'd never been the right time for a full-blown romance in the past, recent times have seen the couple get seriously close, especially after Drake confessed his love on stage. Was this their best chance at romance? Picture: Splash
Speaking to E! about a possible split between the two, a source claimed 'Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people at the moment. They are not exclusive anymore. They still love each other, but their schedules have gotten in the way. Anything can change between them though, for better or worse. They are still in each other's lives.' Picture: PA
Sporting her new 'do, Rihanna seems to be pretty single atm. The pair's relationship seems to have died down and it's even being rumoured that Drake is now seeing India Love (pic. right)! Could these two be in some kind of open relationship or are we just destined to never see them become an official couple? Picture: Instagram
The dinner dates and on-stage duets all pointed to signs that Rihanna and Drake was DEFINITELY a thing. But until the pair speak openly about it, it seems like we'll never know...
