Ever wondered what Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) got up to before he joined Shrek and Donkey? Now the story can be told. The young Puss grows up in a modest orphanage, where his best friend is a misbehaving egg named Humpty Alexander Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis).

As an adult, the ginger tom's stylish line in footwear worn with no pants makes him a hit with the ladies while he sets about protecting the innocent. The scheming Humpty, meanwhile, needs Puss to help pull off his greatest heist - the goose that lays the golden eggs!

Streetwise, seductive Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) is also keen for a slice of the action, and she's very much our hero's equal in the swashbuckling department. Meanwhile, hideous outlaws Jack (Billy Bob Thornton) and Jill (Amy Sedaris) have discovered an ancient power that could destroy the world...
