What do you do if you know your new neighbour is a vampire but nobody believes you? That's the dilemma facing teenager Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin). Having witnessed sinister new neighbour Jerry (Colin Farrell) sinking his teeth into an unfortunate victim, Charley struggles to convince anyone that Jerry is responsible for a string of mysterious disappearances.
And now he's in mortal danger, along with his girlfriend Amy (Imogen Poots), mum Jane (Toni Collette) and best pal 'Evil' Ed Thompson (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). Enter troubled vampire-hunter Peter Vincent (David Tennant), who's battling both the bottle and his own scepticism about the whole bloodsucker business.
This 3D makeover of the 1985 cult classic benefits from the inspired casting of Colin Farrell as a toothy vein-drainer. In the stake-driving role, former Doctor Who David Tennant gets a great gothic vampire-slaying outfit and an arsenal of cool weapons.
