Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley star in this nerve-shredding creature thriller from the director of cult classic 'Cube'.
Clive (Adrien Brody) and Elsa (Sarah Polley) are young, brilliant and ambitious genetic engineers who specialise in splicing together DNA from different animals to create incredible new hybrids. Their startling successes have made them the rebel superstars of the scientific world but when their financial backers forbid them from using human DNA, Clive and Elsa secretly conduct their own experiments. The result is something that is greater than the sum of its parts - Dren (Delphine Chaneac), a female animal-human hybrid that may be a step up the evolutionary ladder.
Dren is an amazing and strangely beautiful creature with uncommon intelligence and an array of unexpected physical characteristics. At first, she exceeds Clive and Elsa's wildest dreams, but when Dren begins to grow and learn at an accelerated rate she threatens to become their worst nightmare.
You should see it because: Produced by Guillermo Del Toro, it's a timely and gripping creature feature.
