Teenage Motorbike Rider Indentified

A 16-year-old boy who died following a collision in Hucknall last week has been named.

Joe Cannon, of Hucknall, died following a collision between an off-road motorcycle and a Ford Transit van.

Nottinghamshire Police were called at around 1.15pm on Wednesday 29 July 2015 following the collision at the junction between Shaw Crescent and Robin Hood Drive, Hucknall.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious head injuries when the Honda trial bike he was riding collided with the van. He was pronounced dead earlier two days later.

Detectives from the East Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit (EMSCIU) are continuing their work to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.
