Police Investigate Death Of A Nottingham Four-Year-Old

Police in Nottingham have told Capital they're investigating the sudden death of a four-year old boy.

Officers were called to an address in Ventnor Rise in Sherwood just before 8.30 morning.

He was pronounced dead in hospital shortly afterwards.

Nottinghamshire Police have released a statement to Capital: "Police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a four-year old boy after officers were called to an address in Ventnor Rise, Sherwood just before 8.30am this morning (Wednesday 14 January 2015).

"Ambulance crews took the boy to Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

"Officers are now working alongside partners to establish the circumstances surrounding his death, which is being treated as unexpected and unexplained."
