Pensioner Murder - Man Charged.

Police have charged a man with murder after a 70 year old was found stabbed in a Nottinghamshire village on Boxing Day.

Jeffrey Burton, aged 60, of Pearl Close, is charged with the murder of Harry Raymond Tindall.

Mr Tindall, who was 70 and also lived in Pearl Close, was found injured in the street around midday on Boxing Day.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. A post mortem examination found the cause of his death to be a stab wound to the chest.

Jeffrey Burton will appear at Mansfield Magistrates Court on Wednesday 28 December.

A 54-year-old woman arrested in connection with the incident has been released on police bail pending further enquiries, until a date in January 2012.
