He suffered a knife wound to the face, which was not life-threatening. He received hospital treatment and has since been discharged.

The attackers, who are white, fled the scene in a burgundy car, heading towards Moor Street.

Police conducted a forensic investigation at the scene yesterday and have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries in the area.
