Police have released picture of the getaway bike used in an attempted robbery in Nottingham.

This Triumph Street Triple model (pictured) was used in an attempted robbery at a jewellery store in the city centre.

Two men were on the motorcycle which travelled down Clumber Street at about 9.20am on Tuesday 20 August.

The pillion passenger got off and walked into Goldsmiths where he proceeded to use a sledgehammer to smash glass cabinets. Fortunately nothing was stolen.

The motorcycle, registration YX12 UPW, was found abandoned at a skate park in Maple Street, Radford, later that day.

DI Mike Allen said: “These people thought they could merely take what they wanted in broad daylight while people went about their business through the city centre. It is not acceptable.

“Someone knows who these two people are and if you do, or you know who has been using this motorcycle, do not protect them. They put the people working the store in great fear – something that no-one putting in a hard day’s work should have to go through.”

If you know someone who had recently come into possession of a motorcycle like this or you know someone who no longer has a motorcycle like this contact police.
