Party Flights

A cabin crew member tells Capital 'party route' flights are becoming a problem with drunk behaviour.

Earlier this month Ryanair banned passengers from bringing duty free alcohol onto its flights between the UK and Ibiza to try and reduce rowdy behaviour.

Sam, a cabin crew member, says drunken behaviour can get quite bad:

'They [passengers] become violent, they become abusive, they can't stand up, they can't sit down, they lose control of their bodily functions.

'I've seen it happen quite a few times.'

Ryanair told Capital:

'Having consulted with our customers and the airports, customers flying from the UK to Ibiza will no longer be permitted to bring duty free alcohol on board the aircraft.

'Those who have purchased duty free alcohol will be asked to either place their purchases in their cabin baggage and into the hold at the boarding gate, or leave their purchases behind.

'The comfort and safety of our customers and crew is our number one priority.'
