Anti-Abduction Classes In Derby

Children as young as five being taught how to defend themselves.

An East Midlands Martial arts group - is looking at taking their self defence and anti abduction courses into schools.

Ryan Lawson the owner of Derby Martial Arts - was asked to start the class as a request from parents - who were getting anxious over national reports of abductions and sexual abuse claims.

"giving them the confidence to realise that they are powerful, even at the age of 4,5,6 - striking a bloke in the groin for example, or forearm into the nose - it doesnt matter how big you are, you will feel that - and it will give the child the opportunity to get away"
